BlackJack - Learn to win against the Casino in Black Jack

BlackJack Rules

The blackjack rules are in general very simple to learn although the very slightly depending on where you play and on the specific casino rules.

In this section we will explain the most common blackjack rules but do inform yourself before you start a game in a casino to make sure you understand their specific rules.

Blackjack is a game where you play against the casino and not against other players like for example in a poker game. You can though be more than one player at a blackjack table but each of you will be playing your own hand against the casino and the cards of the other players do not have any influence on your chance of winning or not.

The first thing you will have to do is to make a bet. There will normally be a minimum bet and a maximum bet allowed which is typically between 1-100€.

When all the players at the table have made their bets the dealer will give all players (starting with the player to the left of the dealer) one card face up and one card facedown to the dealer. Thereafter the dealer deals a second round of cards face up to everybody including him/herself.

The objective in blackjack is to get a better hand than the dealer without going over 21.

The value of the cards in blackjack are the same as the face value from 2 to 10, Jack, Queen and Kins are also worth 10 and the aces are either worth 1 or 11 (whatever suits the player the best).

When you have received your two cards you can either decide to stand or draw another card (and in some case you can split if you have two of the same cards you can play them separately or you can also in some cases double if you think you will win without getting more than one card).

As a player you can always choose to get another card unless of course you have 21 but the dealer have to follow the rules of the casino which means that they will either have to stand if they hit 17 or hit another card.
